School Health Data

Research shows that data-driven decision-making leads to improved student outcomes. Data-driven decision making is the process of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting meaningful school improvement data and using it to guide decisions about curriculum, instruction, teacher training, and resource allocation to make a positive impact on student learning. Data must be aligned and tied to student performance goals at the classroom, school, and district level. The use of data identify the link between teaching practice and student performance.

RI Department of Education Data

The RI Department of Education (RIDE) Data webpage is about everything data at RIDE. Data sources include InfoWorks!, RI DataHUB, and other data links and recent data reports.

The InfoWorks! website has up-to-date data at the statewide, district and school levels to help families, educators, researchers and the public better understand what is happening in Rhode Island schools.

SurveyWorks! is an annual student, teacher, administrator and parent survey about school climate and barriers to implement reforms, student academic, social and risk behaviors, parent involvement and needs, and teacher efficacy and expectations.

The RI DataHUB makes it easy to visualize and analyze complicated data sets gathered from multiple federal, state and local sources. Records are combined, or aggregated, based on various characteristics and transferred to the HUB so users can see the larger landscape of children's well-being and conditions.
